About the company

We are working with a leading international law firm to recruit a Conflicts Analyst to join its London-based office.

Your tasks

This is an excellent opportunity for a conflicts professional to join a highly regarded global law firm, supporting new business intake and lateral attorney hiring across a broad range of complex, cross-border legal matters.

Working closely with the Senior Conflicts Attorney, partners and other members of the Office of General Counsel, you will play a key role in identifying, analysing and resolving potential conflicts of interest, helping ensure that new matters and lateral hires are cleared efficiently and in accordance with the firm's requirements.

  • Review new matter intake requests to ensure client and matter information is clear, accurate and complete.
  • Analyse conflicts reports and undertake research using internal databases, external sources and other relevant resources to identify potential conflicts of interest.
  • Prepare concise, well-structured reports highlighting potential conflicts issues for review by the relevant attorneys.
  • Liaise with attorneys and key stakeholders to follow up on outstanding issues and support the timely resolution of conflicts.
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing conflict waiver letters and engagement letter provisions.
  • Monitor and follow up on waivers to ensure they are obtained where required.
  • Establish information screens where necessary.
  • Escalate complex conflicts issues and unresolved matters to the Senior Conflicts Attorney and other relevant members of the Office of General Counsel.
  • Support conflicts clearance relating to new business and lateral attorney recruitment.

If you have previous conflicts experience and are looking for an opportunity to develop your career within a prestigious international legal environment, we would welcome the opportunity to hear from you.

Requirements

Suitable candidates will have previous experience in conflicts analysis, research and resolution, ideally gained within a law firm or a similar professional services environment. You will be confident reviewing complex information, identifying potential risks and communicating your findings clearly to legal stakeholders.

Familiarity with iManage Conflicts Management/Elegrity, S&P Capital IQ and D&B Hoovers would be advantageous.
