Technical Operator
Company Description The Good Roll Africa is the Ghanaian extension of The Good Roll and the world’s first Fair Trade bamboo pulp manufacturer, working closely with thousands of local farmers. The company produces bamboo pulp that is used to create super soft, strong, and affordable toilet paper for The Good Roll brand. Role Description The Technical Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Accra, responsible for running and monitoring production machinery used in bamboo pulp manufacturing. This role includes setting up equipment, performing routine checks, and ensuring operations meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and quality standards. The Technical Operator will carry out daily maintenance tasks, support preventive maintenance schedules, and promptly report and help resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime. The position also involves accurately recording production data, following safety procedures, and collaborating with supervisors and team members to optimize production efficiency. The Technical Operator may assist in training new team members on equipment operation and basic maintenance. Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance for production or industrial equipment. Experience working in Manufacturing environments with understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Ability to provide or support Training on equipment operation, safety, and basic maintenance procedures. Basic mechanical or technical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Ability to work on-site in Accra in a shift-based or continuous production environment. Previous experience in pulp, paper, or related manufacturing industries is an advantage. Relevant technical or vocational qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is beneficial.
