Sales Manager (Data Centre Solutions)
A leading technology and infrastructure solutions provider is seeking an experienced sales leader to drive growth across the data centre sector. The role will lead business development, strategic account management and customer engagement across the data centre ecosystem, working closely with end-users, consultants, contractors, system integrators and channel partners. The successful candidate will also lead and develop a sales team while providing strong technical and commercial guidance across data centre infrastructure solutions. Some of the key responsibilities will include: Develop and execute sales and go-to-market strategies to grow revenue and market share across data centre infrastructure solutions.
Identify and develop new opportunities with enterprise customers, cloud providers, colocation operators and other key players within the data centre ecosystem.
Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting and solution development through to proposal, negotiation and closure.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers, consultants, contractors, system integrators and channel partners.
Provide consultative guidance on data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, racks, cabling, monitoring and related critical infrastructure solutions.
Lead, coach and develop the sales team, establishing clear objectives and driving performance against revenue and business targets.
Monitor market trends, emerging technologies and competitive developments, providing market intelligence and customer insights to support business strategy.
Manage sales forecasting, pipeline development and key project opportunities, working closely with technical, marketing and project teams to ensure effective execution.
To be eligible for this role you will require: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
Relevant experience of 5-8 years in data centre infrastructure, critical infrastructure, electrical systems or a closely related technology sector, with a proven track record in sales.
Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure and technologies, including power distribution, UPS, cooling, racks, structured cabling and monitoring systems.
Good knowledge of data centre standards, energy efficiency and sustainability considerations would be advantageous.
Strong commercial, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and senior business stakeholders.
Demonstrated sales leadership experience, with the ability to manage a team, develop strategic accounts and consistently deliver against revenue targets. Willingness to travel as required.
