Internal Control Manager

Our client, a well-established MNC, is seeking an Internal Control Manager to strengthen financial controls, governance and risk management across its Asia operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance the internal control framework, standardizing controls across multiple entities and jurisdictions
• Maintain process maps, risk and control matrices (RCMs) and control documentation
• Design and execute periodic control testing programmes, identify deficiencies and drive remediation to closure
• Support the integrity of month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting in line with IFRS and local statutory requirements
• Review key control areas, including Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, treasury, payroll, inventory, intercompany transactions and consolidation
• Perform financial risk assessments and advise management on the control implications of new business initiatives
• Act as key liaison with internal and external auditors, coordinating responses to findings and monitoring action plans
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, Delegation of Authority (DOA) frameworks and anti-fraud controls
• Drive control automation through ERP systems and data analytics
• Partner with process owners on new systems, process improvements and organizational change
• Deliver training on internal controls and build a control-conscious culture across the region

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, ideally with Big 4 audit experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, internal controls, internal audit or risk management within MNCs
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting processes and SOX-style control environments
• Experience with major ERP systems such as SAP
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership
