Head of Transfer Pricing

Our client is a leading international trading group with significant growth plans ahead. As part of this, they are seeking a Head of Transfer Pricing to join their global tax team in Singapore. This is a senior, high-visibility role with ownership of the group's transfer pricing strategy across its global trading, logistics and asset footprint. Reporting to the Group Head of Tax, you will be responsible for: Owning and setting the group's global transfer pricing strategy and policies, making sure they fit the commercial trading model and hold up as the business grows into new markets and products Designing and maintaining TP models for principal trading hubs, marketing and origination entities, limited-risk distributors and agents, and toll or contract manufacturing and processing arrangements Overseeing TP for intra-group financing, including trade finance, intercompany loans, guarantees, cash pooling and hedging arrangements Leading the preparation and review of master file, local file and CbCR obligations across the group, and ensuring timely compliance with Singapore and overseas documentation requirements Leading functional analyses with senior commercial stakeholders (trading desks, operations, risk and finance) Setting up and overseeing transactional TP controls and year-end true-up processes, working with finance and consolidation teams on intercompany charges, including corporate service fees Leading TP audit defence, revenue authority enquiries and dispute resolution, including APAs and MAP where appropriate Assessing how international tax developments affect TP, including OECD BEPS guidance and Pillar Two (GloBE) interactions with intercompany pricing Advising senior management on the TP implications of new business lines, acquisitions, restructurings and supply chain changes Building and leading a small team of TP professionals, and managing external advisors and budgets Key requirements Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or Taxation; a professional qualification (CA, CPA, CTA or equivalent) is preferred At least 12–15 years of transfer pricing experience gained in Big 4 or leading advisory firms and/or MNCs, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or senior management role Strong experience in commodities, energy, metals, agriculture or natural resources, ideally covering physical trading models A proven record of designing and implementing TP policies and leading audit defence across multiple jurisdictions; regional or global scope is essential Deep technical knowledge of the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines, including the commodity transactions guidance, and of Singapore's TP framework Excellent communication and presentation skills Please email your cv directly to sindhu@theedgepartnership.com in word format.
