Accountant / Senior Accountant (Project Accounting / POC)

Our client, an established industry leader delivering large-scale projects across the region, is seeking a hands-on Accountant to join their finance team in Singapore. In this role, you will support day-to-day financial operations, with a focus on project revenue and cost accounting. This role offers strong learning exposure to long-term contract accounting and the opportunity to grow within a dynamic, expanding business. Key Responsibilities: Handle full-set accounts, including general ledger, bank reconciliations, and accruals Support month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations Assist with revenue recognition for long-term contracts using the percentage-of-completion (POC) method, in line with SFRS(I) 15 / IFRS 15 Track project costs, maintain work-in-progress schedules, and prepare project profitability reports Work with project teams to gather cost data and resolve discrepancies Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and monthly management reports Support statutory audits, GST filings, and tax submissions Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies Requirements: Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA or CA progress is an advantage Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, including exposure to POC / contract accounting Background in project-based industries such as construction, engineering, infrastructure, or energy is preferred Good working knowledge of accounting software and strong Excel skills Meticulous, organised, and able to meet deadlines Good communication skills and a team player Please email your cv directly to sindhu@theedgepartnership.com in word format.  Please note that due to the high number of applications only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
