Warehouse Operative

Location: Winsford Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse team. You will be responsible for accurately picking, packing and preparing orders, receiving and storing stock, and safely operating forklift trucks to load, unload and move equipment.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, reliable and safety-conscious, with good attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, label and store incoming stock, reporting any discrepancies.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch or collection.
• Safely operate counterbalance and reach forklifts to load and unload vehicles and containers and move stock around the warehouse.
• Carry out stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised and safe, making effective use of available space.
• Operate and carry out basic preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment.
• Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to meet warehouse and dispatch schedules.
• Follow company procedures, health & safety requirements and quality standards.
• Identify and support opportunities for continuous improvement.

About You

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Valid Counterbalance and Reach forklift licences .
• Good understanding of stock control and warehouse systems.
• IT literate, with Microsoft Office/Excel experience desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive team-working approach.
• Reliable, energetic and enthusiastic.
• Full UK driving licence, with the ability to travel between sites when required.
