Location: Wednesbury Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

About the Role

We are looking for a Stock Control Assistant to join the team in Wednesbury. You will support the effective management and control of stock across warehouse operations, ensuring stock records are accurate, goods are correctly received and documented, and any discrepancies are dealt with promptly.

Working closely with warehouse and operational teams, you will carry out regular stock checks, manage stock adjustments, support goods-in activities and maintain accurate documentation. The role also involves using stock management and MRP systems, with full training provided where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular stock counts, audits and stock adjustments.
• Monitor stock levels, discrepancies, short-dated stock and damaged goods.
• Support goods-in activities, warehouse transfers and stock movements.
• Manage sample requests and production-related stock adjustments.
• Maintain accurate stock records, reports and warehouse documentation.
• Raise and follow up operational and system issues.
• Maintain 5S standards across the warehouse and workstation.
• Use stock management, scanning and MRP systems effectively
• Report damaged goods received from suppliers and customer returns to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage sample requests for internal departments and external contacts.
• Support SKU placement and short-date stock management.

Requirements

• Previous experience in stock control, inventory, warehouse administration or logistics.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Confident using computerised systems and maintaining accurate records.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy operational environment.
• Experience with stock management or MRP systems would be advantageous.
• Experience with Access Supply Chain or BizBloqs would be beneficial, but training will be provided.
