Education:

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.

Tasks:

• Conduct research on related specialized therapies.
• Consult with other health care professionals to evaluate treatment plans .
• Examine the behaviour.
• Interview patients .
• Review reports from health care professionals to determine patients' current and potential functioning levels.
• Prepare a treatment plan for each patient.
• Provide education to clients regarding health promotion and injury prevention, management and treatment.
• Provide therapy.
• Implement treatment plans.
• Analyze the patient during the treatments.
• Apply psychological theory and principles regarding behaviour and mental processes.
• Counsel clients, provide therapy and mediation services, and facilitate group sessions.
• Follow up results of counselling programs and clients' adjustment.
• Administer standard psychological tests for assessment.
• Offer mediation, conciliation and arbitration services.
• Help clients manage physical illness and disorders.

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :

• First Aid Certificate.
• CPR Certificate.

Computer and technology knowledge:

• MS Excel.
• MS Outlook.
