Teaching Assistant
Tasks: Students
- Help students to understand the Lesson Objectives and Learning Outcomes.
- Help to differentiate the Learning outcomes (success criteria) and adapt work to ensure that all students are presented with an appropriate level of challenge.
- Communicate assessment criteria to students so that they understand what is required and they are more engaged as a result.
- Discuss performance targets with students regularly.
- Make clear how the learning from the lesson links with other areas of the course and with other subjects of situations.
- Motivate and empower students to work independently, assess the success of their own and others’ work and to set their own targets.
- Adjust the pace and timing of activities to make them more stimulating and challenging to aid learning and understanding.
- Assist students to develop resilience when tackling challenging activities.
- Encourage and reward good behaviour and good levels of concentration.
Teacher
- Develop a good working relationship with the classroom teacher
- Take direction so that the learning of specific individuals and groups of students is enhanced.
- Discuss planning with the teacher to ensure a full understanding of the objectives.
- Make sure that students are engaged in a learning activity as soon as they enter the room .
- Prepare equipment before the start of the lesson of following set routines.
- Where homework tasks are set, enhance student’s understanding of what is required
- Create displays using children’s work and ensure they are interactive and a learning tool.
Bachelor's degree in teaching or any relevant field.
English Fluency is a must
Previous Experience in the same field.
