*Job Summary*

The Branding Firm Inc. is seeking an experienced, solutions-focused *Web Developer* to join our award-winning creative team in London, Ontario.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on developer who enjoys both building great websites and solving the technical challenges that come with managing a diverse portfolio of client sites. Working collaboratively with our designers, marketers and project team, you will help bring digital concepts to life while ensuring the websites we develop and manage are functional, responsive, reliable and built to perform.

This is a varied role encompassing *new website development, website redesigns, ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support*. You will be involved throughout the website lifecycle, from development and testing through launch, optimization and ongoing support.

*Responsibilities*

• *Website Development:* Build, customize and launch responsive websites, primarily using WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP, translating creative designs and concepts into polished, functional digital experiences.
• *WordPress & E-Commerce:* Develop and maintain WordPress websites, including theme and plugin configuration and customization, as well as WooCommerce and Shopify e-commerce environments.
• *Website Maintenance & Support:* Maintain and improve existing client websites, troubleshoot bugs and technical issues, resolve responsive and cross-browser challenges, and provide technical support as client needs arise.
• *Integrations & Functionality:* Implement forms, APIs, analytics, tracking and third-party integrations to support website functionality and marketing objectives.
• *Hosting & Deployment:* Manage website deployments and work with hosting environments, domains, DNS, backups and related technical requirements.
• *Performance & Security:* Support website security, backups, performance optimization and ongoing technical health.
• *Quality Assurance:* Test websites across browsers, devices and screen sizes to ensure a consistent, reliable user experience prior to launch and following updates.
• *Web Best Practices:* Apply current development standards and best practices related to responsive design, SEO, website performance and accessibility.
• *Development Workflow:* Utilize Git/version control and modern development practices, including React or other JavaScript frameworks where appropriate.
• *Team Collaboration:* Work closely with designers, marketers and project team members to understand project requirements, solve technical challenges and deliver high-quality digital experiences for our clients.

*Experience*

• *5+ years of professional web development experience* is required
• Strong proficiency in *HTML and CSS*, with solid working knowledge of *JavaScript and PHP*
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining *WordPress* websites
• Proven experience working with *WooCommerce and Shopify*
• Strong understanding of responsive web development and cross-browser compatibility
• Familiarity with *React* or other modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience implementing APIs, forms, analytics and third-party website integrations
• Knowledge of website performance optimization, technical SEO and accessibility best practices
• Experience troubleshooting website functionality, compatibility and performance issues
• Familiarity with *Git/version control* and modern development workflows
• Working knowledge of hosting environments, domains, DNS, website migrations and deployments
• Strong problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced agency environment
