Restaurant Manager

Premium Gastro Pub | Berkshire | Salary: £40,000 + Tronc

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Restaurant Manager to join a highly regarded, premium food-led pub and restaurant with rooms in Berkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a chef-led, destination establishment where quality, service and hospitality are at the heart of the business.

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for hospitality and a strong understanding of what exceptional restaurant service looks like. You will be responsible for leading the front-of-house operation, developing your team and ensuring every guest receives an outstanding experience.

The role

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the restaurant
• Lead, motivate and develop the front-of-house team
• Maintain consistently high standards of service and hospitality
• Ensure smooth communication between front and back of house
• Manage reservations, bookings and service
• Train and develop team members to deliver exceptional standards
• Monitor service standards and guest satisfaction
• Support with rotas, stock control and GP management
• Work closely with the Head Chef and senior management team
• Lead from the front during busy services
• Help drive the continued development and reputation of the business

The ideal candidate

• Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager
• Strong experience within a premium gastro pub, high-end restaurant or Michelin/Rosette establishment
• Excellent knowledge of food, wine and modern restaurant service
• A confident and natural leader who can inspire and develop a team
• Highly organised with strong commercial awareness
• Passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Warm, personable and confident when dealing with guests
• Hands-on and comfortable working within a busy, quality-focused operation
• Ambitious and keen to progress their career within a respected hospitality business
• Experience within a Michelin-starred, Michelin Guide, 2/3 Rosette or high-end gastro pub environment would be highly desirable.
