Your daily life At the heart of Saint Quentin en Yvelines, the Elancourt site is one of Thales' most important technological centers of excellence. The diversity and technicality of the systems and equipment mobilize expertise in more than 80 professions within high-tech defense and security solutions and digital services.

Within the Radar and Space Department of the Hardware Engineering competency center, you will take on the role of Team Leader, Antenna Design Team Leader.

You will lead a team of about fifteen engineers, specialized in the hardware development of active antennas and microwave sub-assemblies, Electronic Warfare antennas, radomes, and electromagnetic stealth solutions.

Their missions include hardware design (notably using numerical simulation tools), performance validation (through simulation, analysis, or testing), and multi-disciplinary coordination (antennas, RF, design office, technology).

As Team Leader, you will work in close collaboration with the Head Of Discipline (HOD) and your main missions consist of:

• Meeting project needs by delegating activities corresponding to your discipline to your team. You will ensure the appropriate level of availability and competence to guarantee the technical quality of the work performed, adherence to the schedule, and expenditures, in connection with lot managers and project managers;
• Animating, organizing, and engaging the team by developing a fulfilling framework, putting activities into long-term perspective, and conducting continuous improvement actions according to your strategic engineering plan in connection with technical referents and the HoD;

• Building and updating the forecast workload plan in connection with the operations manager.

You will ensure the management of this team, while maintaining a technical and operational activity on certain projects: design, simulation, prototyping.

Your profile You are an Engineer by training and have significant experience of more than 10 years in microwave hardware development, technical project management, as well as managerial experience.

You have the following skills and experience:

• Successful experience in Technical Team Management (10/15 people): your leadership allows you to engage and develop a team in a complex environment,
• Proven skills in the field of active antennas, microwaves, electromagnetic propagation,

• Mastery of calculation and design tools (Matlab/HFSS),
• Knowledge of hardware development processes,

• Mastery of written and spoken English.
