Your daily life
Located 20 minutes from the Paris-Saclay technology hub, the site is one of the largest surface radar centers of excellence. We contribute to developing, designing, integrating, and testing aerial surveillance radars dedicated to target detection and identification.
The position is to be filled within the Contracts and Compliance Legal Department of the Surface Radars (SRA) Business Line (BL), within the company Thales LAS France SAS.
Located 20 minutes from the Paris-Saclay technology hub, the site is one of the largest surface radar centers of excellence. We contribute to developing, designing, integrating, and testing aerial surveillance radars dedicated to target detection and identification.
The site is 40 minutes from Paris, 20 minutes from Massy, and accessible via free shuttle networks from Massy, Pont de Sèvres, Vélizy, Versailles, Saint Quentin en Yvelines.
The position covers a wide spectrum of activities from the capture phase to contract closure, both in France and internationally.
You are in charge of tender analysis and contract management for export projects and in France.
In this capacity, your main missions will be the following: Actively contribute to the analysis of risks and opportunitiesDraft and negotiate contractual commitments with clients or industrial partners, taking into account technical, scheduling, regulatory, and legal constraintsBuild the negotiation strategy with the team during the bidding or execution phaseImplement innovative contractual solutions to meet client needs and requirementsBe involved in program reviews and other internal and client meetings for the contracts you manageEnsure the timely collection of all relevant documents, information, and data to allow for the proposal and drafting of amendments and/or claimsProactively propose risk mitigation and profit improvement measuresAssist project teams in the interpretation and execution of contractual clauses of contracts concluded with their clients and subcontractorsAssist the purchasing team in drafting and negotiating subcontracting contracts to minimize contractual risks for ThalesManage contractual documentation and prepare the submission of documents to clients and subcontractorsEnsure effective and regular reporting to the BL Contracts & Compliance Legal DepartmentDeploy all Compliance pillars (Anticorruption, Trade, Antitrust, and RGPD) on the offers and projects for which you provide supportManage pre-litigation files and follow up on litigation files in liaison with the Corporate Legal Department.
Occasional travel in France and abroad is to be expected.
You may be required to provide training to operational staff.
You will contribute to the cross-functional missions of the Legal & Contracts Department.
Your Profile
Do you have an excellent command of English, both written and spoken?
Do you have proven experience (minimum 8 years) in complex contract management in an international industrial environment?
Do you have a Master's degree (Bac + 5) in business law (Master 2 or equivalent) supplemented by a degree in finance/management or business school, or a business school/management/finance/MBA degree supplemented by legal training?
Have you acquired expertise in contract management (industrial setups, private/public law contracts, project management, in a French and international environment)?
