Your daily life At the heart of Saint Quentin en Yvelines, the Elancourt site is one of Thales' most important technological centers of excellence. The diversity and technicality of the systems and equipment mobilize expertise in more than 80 professions in defense solutions, high-technology security, and digital services.

Our Laser Engineering Department ensures:

• development activities,
• setup activities,
• product installations at our Clients,
• product support activities: high-energy Nanosecond lasers and specific developments of femtosecond lasers.

Our Clients are scientific platforms, as well as scientific laboratories and industrial integrators.

Your missions: Within the Laser Engineering Department, you will be in charge as a Laser Engineer of the integration, installation, and support of laser systems in an international (Romania, Israel, India, China ...) and highly technical context. You will benefit from proximity to the existing teams of our Global Business Unit as well as collaborations woven with French academic Institutions and foreign laboratories. In a context of lasers related to confinement fusion, you will have an R&D Engineer role in the development of these new technological building blocks.

Your Profile: You are a graduate of an Engineering school or a university program with a Master 2, specialized in the field of optics. You have confirmed experience with pulsed laser systems, solid knowledge of Non-linear optics, and laser metrology tools. You are recognized for real interpersonal skills, creativity, rigor, organization, and technical document writing. You have practiced on Matlab and Python software. Language: English required.
