Your daily life We provide and support systems for the management and protection of airspace. We work with passion within a modern architectural framework, striving to push the boundaries of technology in our key sectors. Located south of Paris, our site is easily accessible by public transport.

Within the BL Integrated Airspace Protection Systems, you will work on short-range surface-to-air defense and anti-drone systems. The position is part of the Product/Project Offers & Upstream Studies, covering surface-to-air defense solutions, technical-operational studies, as well as associated simulations.

Your main mission As C-UAS & Short Range Air Defence Architecture Manager, you are responsible for the technical and technological direction of short-range surface-to-air defense and anti-drone (C-UAS) products and solutions. In this capacity, you:

• Define and drive the technical and technological direction of solutions in alignment with the Strategy Department and the Business Line Technical Department*
• Guarantee consistency between Product Roadmaps and the technical solutions proposed in offers*
• Collaborate with Bids teams, France & Export Sales teams, Product stakeholders, and the Engineering Competence Center to deliver a technical solution, and more broadly to propose an offer covering the 3 aspects: Technical/Price/Planning*
• Interact with industrial partners and subcontractors for development purposes*
• Propose and structure feasibility studies (PTD, ETO, ELR)*
• Ensure the technical management of upstream studies for institutional clients in FRANCE or EUROPE

Your profile With higher education in Engineering or University (Master's degree), you have significant experience (> 5 years) in a System Architecture position (ideally in the anti-drone or Air Defence field).

Your skills:

• Do you have expertise in surface-to-air defense systems or, at a minimum, solid (mandatory) skills in radar or optronics?
• Do you ideally have experience with software-centric systems?
• Do you have a strong ability to understand and translate operational customer needs into relevant technical solutions?
• Do you have a strong product approach and a systems vision?
• Do you have the ability to work at the interface with multiple stakeholders within THALES (engineering, sales, legal, technical management) and with external partners?
• Are your autonomy, analytical spirit, functional leadership, and synthesis skills recognized assets?
• Do you have a proficient level of English allowing you to communicate with European partners?
