Your daily life Located 20 minutes from the Paris-Saclay technology hub, the site is one of the largest surface radar centers of excellence. We contribute to developing, designing, integrating, and testing air surveillance radars dedicated to target detection and identification. Integrated into a multidisciplinary project team, your main missions will be to Participate in the definition of the mechanical architecture of the Radar and sub-assemblies (antenna, cooling systems, power distribution, electronic bays, in some cases motorization and lifting systems) in accordance with specifications and in collaboration with a mechanical engineer

  • Integrate assembly, manufacturing, testing, and maintenance constraints
  • Guarantee interfaces between different sub-assemblies by performing functional dimensioning
  • Design mechanical parts for sub-assemblies and/or collaborate with selected suppliers
  • Size and select specific mechanical components
  • Guarantee compliance with standards (military, aeronautical, or industrial)
  • Ensure the production of the Definition File (detailed drawings and CAD models and/or integration of supplier data / assembly drawings / bill of materials) and ensure its integration into PLM tools
  • Participate in design reviews
  • Participate in the preparation of the definition justification file (mass balance, inertia matrix) Provide support during integration/testing/production phases
  • Handle the resolution of technical facts and change requests

Your profile You have higher education (BAC + 2/3) in mechanical design. You have 3 to 5 years of successful experience in a Design Office. You master the fundamentals of mechanical design, industrial drawing standards, and functional dimensioning, as well as CAD tools (PTC CREO, CATIA). You master mechanical calculation and strength of materials for sizing simple parts (fasteners, handling elements) and have the ability to communicate with mechanical calculation engineers for more complex structures. You have knowledge of standards associated with harsh environments (military, aeronautical). You have knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, composites, additive manufacturing). You are comfortable in English: reading, writing, speaking.
