Embedded Software Developer C++ / Linux for High-Performance Shuttle Systems (Software Developer)
You will develop modern C++ 17/20 software for Linux-based embedded systems in our autonomous Stingray Shuttle systems. In doing so, you will not only work on the code but also directly on the real shuttle: you will analyze system behavior, debug software in interaction with hardware, sensors, and actuators, and contribute to ensuring that our high-performance shuttles function reliably in industrial applications.
The role includes an intensive induction phase at our location in Wels (Austria) as well as regular travel there for collaboration and coordination with the relevant departments.
WHAT YOU WILL MOVE WITH US
- Design, implementation, and further development of modern embedded software in C++ 17/20 for Linux-based high-performance shuttle systems, embedded in a modern tech stack with Docker as well as bare-metal and RTOS components
- Analysis, debugging, and optimization of system behavior directly on the shuttle in the interaction of software, operating system, hardware, sensors, actuators, and mechanics
- Conception, development, and execution of comprehensive (automated) tests (unit tests, HIL, SIL) including sound analysis and interpretation of the results
- Derivation of optimization potential as well as development of sustainable technical solution concepts
- Active participation and professional co-design in agile product development projects with a focus on embedded systems
WHAT CONVINCES US
- Completed education in the field of computer science, software engineering, mechatronics, automation technology, or similar
- Very good knowledge of modern C++ 17/20, acquired through professional experience, studies, or comparable practical experience
- Experience or profound interest in embedded software, Linux-based systems, and system-level development
- Ability to structurally analyze technical problems in the interaction of software, operating system, and hardware
- Analytical thinking, structured and independent way of working, as well as a high awareness of quality
- Very good English skills in speaking and writing (at least C1 level each)
WHAT WE OFFER
- Collaboration in an agile development team: freedom, clear goals, and regular feedback
- Good transport connections, free parking, shuttle service between TGW locations, e-bikes, etc.
- An appreciative working environment, motivated teams, and an open feedback culture
- Working with modern IT equipment and the latest technologies
The position is also suitable for persons with (severe) disabilities.
