Your tasks

Own Regirl's relationship with the retail and wholesale partners who sell our products, visiting our retail locations to keep merchandising sharp and retail reps motivated to sell, and converting inbound wholesale leads into closed accounts.

Here is the core of why this role exists. Our products live or die on two fronts: whether they're merchandised and championed well in the retail locations that stock them, and whether the serious wholesale buyers who reach out actually get converted into real accounts.

On the retail side, you're in our locations regularly — checking that our merchandising set-up looks right, talking to customers, and building real relationships with the reps on the floor so they're motivated to sell our product over whatever else is next to it on the shelf. On the wholesale side, you're closing inbound leads — buyers who've already shown interest and need someone to actually get them to a signed deal.

You're the first person Regirl has hired into this function. There's no existing playbook to follow — you'll be building the relationships, the routines, and the standards as you go, however, you will be held to high standards so being a self-starter is important to be successful at this role.

What You Will Own

  • Visit our retail locations on a regular cadence to check that our merchandising set-up is correct and looks right.
  • Talk to customers and retail staff directly, and gather real feedback, not just what's easy to hear.
  • Build genuine working relationships with the reps at each retail location so they're motivated to sell our product, not just stock it.
  • Own the sales outcome at each retail location you cover — accountable for growth there, not just presence.
  • Convert inbound wholesale leads into closed, paid accounts.
  • Manage the wholesale sales process end to end, from first response to a lead through to a signed and paid deal.
  • Flag and help resolve merchandising or stock issues you find in the field before they become lost sales.
  • Build the playbook for this function as you go — TSL doesn't have one yet.

Requirements

Who we are looking for Someone who's genuinely comfortable in the field — in stores, talking to customers and shop staff, not just at a desk — and who can also close a deal when a serious wholesale buyer comes in the door. This kind of work is often done well by people with a background in beauty counter sales, brand ambassador work, pharmaceutical or FMCG field sales, or retail merchandising — if that's your background, we especially want to hear from you. You notice when a shelf looks wrong before anyone tells you, and you know how to get a retail rep who doesn't work for Regirl to actually care about selling Regirl product. Because you represent Regirl in person, in every store and every deal, you carry yourself professionally: well-presented, well-spoken, and comfortable being the face of a beauty brand.

Who this role is for You are not someone who's happy waiting for leads to convert themselves, or checking a merchandising box because it's on a list. What sets you apart is that you notice things — a shelf that's not set up right, a rep who's lost interest, a customer complaint that's really a signal — and you do something about it before you're asked to.

This role is not for you if you'd rather work a fixed list of accounts from a desk, or if daily, in-person, sometimes-repetitive fieldwork doesn't appeal to you. It is for you if you get real satisfaction from watching a relationship or a location's numbers improve because of something you personally did, and you want a meaningful share of your pay tied to results you can actually see yourself driving.

Non-negotiable

  • Real, demonstrated experience in a customer- or retail-facing sales, merchandising, or account management role.
  • Comfortable working in the field daily — in stores, in person — not primarily from a desk.
  • A track record of actually closing deals, not just managing a pipeline someone else closes.
  • Strong, natural relationship-building skills with people who don't report to you and have no obligation to help you.

Strong advantages

  • Experience in retail merchandising, trade marketing, or field sales specifically.
  • Experience with B2B or wholesale sales cycles.
