What you will do
As a Laboratory Technician with focus on material testing, you will play an important role in continuously improving innovative adhesive tape solutions for the automotive industry. You will work hands-on with advanced materials and technologies, including functional adhesive pads and multilayer polymer-adhesive composite systems. With your practical laboratory expertise, you will contribute to the development, testing and optimization of solutions for future mobility applications while working closely with colleagues across development and related functions.
Your tasks include
Plan and independently conduct laboratory trials and practical evaluations for the development and optimization of adhesive tape solutions and related materials. Work hands-on with functional adhesive pads and multilayer polymer-adhesive composite systems, supporting their development and continuous improvement. Prepare, process and test materials and samples using appropriate laboratory methods, equipment and procedures. Document, evaluate and interpret test results in accordance with applicable quality and audit requirements, ensuring reliable and traceable documentation. dentify deviations and opportunities for improvement and contribute to the systematic optimization of materials, processes and products. Support the transfer and implementation of new solutions into further development stages and contribute your practical expertise to project-related activities. Share your knowledge and practical experience within the team and support the training and development of the next generation of laboratory professionals.
What you will need
You have successfully completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician (Chemielaborant/in), Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), or a comparable technical qualification. Practical experience in material testing, processing or formulating adhesives or similar polymer compounds, such as coatings, is desirable. You enjoy hands-on laboratory work and are willing to take on organizational responsibility for laboratory activities and processes. Your solution-oriented and customer-focused approach, combined with a strong sense of responsibility, makes you a valuable team member. You are motivated and curious and enjoy contributing actively in a dynamic and agile working environment. You work independently while also valuing collaboration and knowledge exchange within the team. You are confident using MS Office and Microsoft Teams; experience with databases or comparable digital tools is an advantage. In our international environment, you communicate confidently in both written and spoken German and English.
