About the role As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing and evolving end-to-end digital experiences, being the owner from problem understanding to the implemented solution. Your role integrates research, strategy, UX, UI, and visual quality to deliver real value to the user and the business, eliminating fragmentation between disciplines and ensuring coherence, speed, and quality in every iteration. Your work will directly impact the experience of Tenpo's more than 2.5 million users, being a key player in building the digital product of the first Chilean neobanco.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Discovery and Design Ownership

Act as the owner of the insight gathering, ideation, prototyping, design, and visual QA stages, ensuring user-centered solutions aligned with the product objective in each cycle.

  1. User Validation

Plan and execute the prior validation of prototypes with users and stakeholders, iterating solutions based on direct feedback and qualitative and quantitative evidence before development.

  1. Collaboration in agile squads

Actively participate in squad ceremonies (planning, refinements, retrospectives, dailys), collaborating with POs, developers, and other key areas to ensure correct interpretation and implementation of the design during development.

  1. Contribution to the Design System

Actively contribute to Tenpo's Design System by creating or improving components, patterns, and variants, detecting standardization opportunities that improve consistency and development speed.

  1. Craft quality and XPS compliance

Ensure compliance with Tenpo's Experience Performance Standard (XPS) —performance, usability, accessibility, and visual coherence— in every delivery, in line with business objectives and user needs.

  1. Visual QA and development support

Accompany implementation alongside developers, PDL, and the tech QA team, ensuring visual fidelity, interaction quality, and compliance with standards. Execute visual and experience QA before and after release.

  1. Documentation and decision traceability

Document hypotheses, design decisions, learnings, and experience criteria to ensure traceability and continuity, keeping design artifacts (Figma, flows, prototypes, specs) updated.

What do you need to apply? Professional degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, UX/UI Design, Design Engineering, or related fields. Additionally, you need a portfolio with end-to-end UX/UI projects in mobile apps or web platforms. The portfolio is an exclusive requirement, regardless of your background.

Between 3 and 6 years of experience in UX/UI Design, Product Design, or equivalent roles. This experience must be in multidisciplinary agile teams with continuous product delivery.

Experience designing end-to-end, from flows and wireframes to high-fidelity interfaces. We expect a solid foundation in usability, information architecture, and user-centered design.

Advanced mastery of Figma: components, auto-layout, variables, and interactive prototyping. We also look for experience contributing to or maintaining a Design System in a scaling product.

Knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 accessibility standards (level AA).

Ability to execute user research: interviews, usability tests, and synthesis of findings.

Intermediate English to read technical documentation, Figma resources, and references from the international design community.

Bonus points if… You have experience in fintech, mass consumption apps, or startups with millions of active users.

You have worked with accessibility auditing tools (Axe, Lighthouse, or equivalent) or research and testing tools (Maze, Useberry, UserTesting, or equivalent).

You know handoff to development with technical specifications, design tokens, and Storybook, or have notions of HTML/CSS to communicate with the frontend team.

You handle Motion Design or microinteractions for mobile apps.

You have certifications in UX/UI Design, Product Design, web accessibility, Design Systems, or Design Thinking.
