Your contribution to TenneT
As a specialist (m/f/d) for construction technology issues, you will accompany the construction of the HVDC land station (civil engineering and structural engineering) through all project phases – from planning to commissioning.
- You are the technical contact person for all planning and construction technology topics related to converter stations. Together with the project teams, you ensure compliance with technical specifications, standards, and uniform standards, using modern BIM methods.
- You continuously develop construction technology standards and contribute your expertise to the planning. You also support the creation and evaluation of technical expert reports, for example, on soil, noise, or vibrations.
- You support construction preparation, particularly in the planning of construction site infrastructure (e.g., construction roads, access routes, media supply, and area preparation), as well as the commissioning of the systems. In doing so, you take into account the principles of Safety by Design.
- You check planning documents for all service phases for your trades and accompany their technical release.
- Through regular site inspections, factory acceptances, as well as design reviews and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), you ensure execution quality. In doing so, you coordinate the interfaces between all project participants and keep occupational safety and quality equally in view.
- You create and check technical specifications, coordinate the technical topics assigned to you across projects, and ensure timely and quality-compliant implementation.
Your profile
- You have a successfully completed degree (Uni/FH) in civil engineering, architecture, or a comparable qualification
- You have experience in the planning and realization of demanding infrastructure or industrial projects – ideally in the environment of switchgear or converter stations
- Confident handling of modern document management systems as well as digital collaboration and BIM tools is part of your daily work routine
- You work in a structured, solution-oriented, and independent manner. In exchange with planning offices, construction companies, manufacturers, and other project participants, you convince through your communication and coordination strength.
- You have very good English skills in speaking and writing and communicate confidently with international suppliers and project partners
- You bring willingness to travel as well as a Class B driver's license. Construction sites, company locations, and factory acceptances at suppliers are a matter of course for you in diverse project work

Our challenges
The Build DC department is responsible for the implementation of DC onshore and offshore projects, including the 2GW and 900MW programs. It manages partnerships with key suppliers and offers project management, engineering, and support services such as construction, permits, cable laying, logistics, and commissioning. The unit coordinates regional activities, defines performance goals, and ensures standards, methods, and quality assurance for DC large-scale projects.
