Materials Engineer (m/f/d) Corrosion (Engineer - Corrosion Protection Technology)

For our renowned, international client, we are looking for a dedicated Materials Engineer (m/f/d) in the field of corrosion for the Erlangen location, in the Nuremberg metropolitan region.

The position is available immediately on a full-time basis (35 h/week) within the framework of temporary employment. The salary is approximately EUR 57,000/year, depending on experience.

Your future tasks:

• Planning, organization, and if necessary, execution of project-specific tests in the field of corrosion
• Preparation, coordination, and technical supervision of customer projects as well as research and development projects
• Evaluation, interpretation, and documentation of test results, including the creation of reports in German and English
• Independent management and execution of projects for internal and external clients
• Presentation and representation of project results to customers as well as, if necessary, to authorities
• Creation of technical specialist reports with a focus on corrosion technology
• Acquisition of new customer projects and active support in project acquisition

What you bring to the role:

• Successfully completed studies in the field of materials science, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
• Initial practical professional experience in the relevant field of activity
• Sound knowledge in the field of corrosion of metallic materials and their evaluation
• Experience in the operation and application of autoclave test rigs, refreshment systems, and electrochemical measurement systems (potentiostats and galvanostats)
• Basic know-how in the execution and evaluation of electrochemical corrosion tests
• English skills at least at B1 level
• Programming skills, especially in handling Python, are desirable or an advantage
