Temple Gardens Hotel & Spa is looking for a full-time Lifeguard.

SCHEDULE: Mondays to Fridays, morning shift

Qualifications:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Have a current Standard First Aid and CPR C Certificate
• Have National Certification for Lifeguard position
• Be able to respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations
• Be able to prevent accidents before they occur
• previous experience is an asset
• Be able to provide 5 star customer service

General Duties Include:

• Constant monitoring of the patrons in and around the pool
• Identify safety risks and prevent incidents before they happen.
• Enforce the rules in a direct and friendly manner
• Perform first aid when needed
• Fill out thorough and accurate accident reports and report to the Supervisor or Manager immediately
• Care for patrons that need assistance (ie: wheelchair entry on ramp)
• Count and record the number of patrons as required on daily log
• Do water tests and take the pool temperature and record results on daily log
• Complete required daily and weekly cleaning and record on checklists. Cleaning includes anything in the pool area (change rooms, fence, lamps, rails, tables, ledges, water station etc)
• Report anything that needs repair to maintenance
• Cover breaks and provide additional coverage in Cafe
• Other duties as reasonably assigned by the manager or supervisor
