Junior Business Controller
Are you helping to build the financial future of an international player? For our Finance team, we are looking for an ambitious Junior Business Controller who gets energy from financial analyses, reporting, and supporting business decisions. In this role, you will work closely with experienced Business Controllers and receive real responsibilities within an international organization from day one.
What will you do as a Junior Business Controller? In this role, you will support the Business Controlling team with daily financial analyses and performance management. You will get plenty of opportunities to learn and grow within a complex, international playing field (Suriname & Benelux).
Your main responsibilities: Reporting & Performance Management: Responsible for preparing and maintaining reports and dashboards, collecting and consolidating financial data, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of figures.
FP&A Support: Assisting with budgets and forecasts, performing variance analyses, developing financial models, and contributing to ad-hoc analyses and business cases.
Business Partnering: Collaborating with various departments, translating financial data into understandable insights for non-financial stakeholders, and actively participating in business review meetings.
Process & Data Quality: Improving and standardizing reporting files and processes, identifying and correcting data quality issues, and building knowledge of the financial systems used.
What do we expect from you? We are looking for a proactive and eager-to-learn finance professional who likes to take ownership and wants to further develop within controlling. You possess: A completed HBO degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or similar
1–3 years of work experience within Finance, Controlling or FP&A
Good knowledge of Excel (including formulas and pivot tables)
Basic knowledge of management accounting and P&L analyses
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills in English (minimum B2 level)
A structured and accurate way of working
Interest in financial systems and process improvements
Experience with ERP or BI tools such as D365 or Power BI is a plus.
Practical requirements Availability: 40 hours per week
