Solution Architect

As a Solution Architect, you will design the future application landscape of Telenet. Given our growth ambitions, we need innovative and sustainable solutions that are in line with our vision and strategy. It is your mission to translate strategic objectives and business initiatives into end-to-end IT solutions that support the target architecture, guardrails, and application roadmaps. You will grow from a doer to a director with visible impact. You are the key person for our business Tribes, and you help determine how we build the new services and products for the millions of residential and business customers of Telenet, BASE, Tadaam, Blossem, etc.

Working in the Architecture team

As an enterprise tribe, we make use of a rock-solid technical framework, the broad know-how of our experienced teams, and we work together with numerous other tribes within Telenet in a competitive and constantly changing market. As a Solution Architect, will you help set up the ideal architecture so that we prepare Telenet for tomorrow?

Your responsibilities as a Solution Architect

As a Solution Architect, you will help build the application landscape of Telenet, in line with our vision and strategy. Working from the “Software and Architecture Tribe,” you will work closely with our colleagues from the “Product & Technology” and “Customer Operations” circles, and guide initiatives that support our ambitious growth. Additionally, you are responsible for:

• the end-to-end architecture for an initiative, which you discuss with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring that the solutions we build fit within our architectural guardrails and business objectives.
• the analysis of our business needs and their translation into solutions and alternatives, which you then cast into a transformation roadmap and document using architecture deliverables.
• our long-term vision regarding application modernization and rationalization, taking into account the impact on our own organization and market evolutions.
• You map out the Total Cost of Ownership, work on proof of concepts, and determine the minimum viable product together with the business.

Our ideal Solution Architect …

• has extensive technical knowledge, with a focus on applications, methodologies, and preferably telecom products. We list some examples:
• Lean Architecture, Agile Methodologies, TM Forum eTOM & SID, Design Principles (e.g., SOLID, Domain Driven Design, Microservices,…)
• LeanIX, UML, Archimate, C4-Modelling
• Application and network integration, cloud, generative AI, Telco BSS & OSS systems, Internet of Things.
• gets energy from our agile working method.
• is eager to learn in a constantly changing environment.
• has a bachelor's or master's degree and relevant experience.
• possesses good communication skills and builds bridges across our various departments.
• speaks fluent English.
