Kitchen Assistant - Golf & Leisure Venue
THE ROLE As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the kitchen team in preparing food and keeping the kitchen clean, organised and ready for service. You will work closely with the Cooks and Head Chef to ensure food preparation and daily kitchen activities run smoothly.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Previous kitchen or F&B experience is an advantage but not essential. Willing to learn basic food preparation for Singapore local and Western dishes . Comfortable supporting preparation for regular service, buffet and event functions. WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1 certification is required for food-handling duties. Able to follow instructions, recipes and kitchen procedures. Able to maintain cleanliness, hygiene and proper food-handling practices. Responsible, hands-on and willing to learn and support the team. Willing to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Food Preparation Wash, clean, cut, portion and prepare ingredients according to instructions. Assist with basic preparation such as marinating, weighing and portioning food. Prepare ingredients and kitchen items required for daily service. Support preparation of food for Singapore local, Chinese-style and Western dishes. Buffet & Event Support Assist the kitchen team with preparation for buffet services, corporate events and larger group functions. Help prepare ingredients and food quantities according to event requirements. Assist with setting up and replenishing food during events when required and appropriately trained. Kitchen Cleanliness & Hygiene Keep work areas, utensils, equipment and kitchen surfaces clean and organised. Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures. Store ingredients properly and maintain good housekeeping practices. Kitchen Support Assist Cooks and Senior Cook during busy service periods. Support receiving, checking and organising kitchen supplies. Assist with stock preparation and basic inventory duties. Carry out other reasonable kitchen duties assigned by the Senior Cook or Head Chef.
