WFAA Dallas is seeking a Programs Producer for the Community Impact Team.

WFAA has a strong legacy of community engagement. This role works closely with the Director of Community Impact to execute community initiatives, partnerships, special projects, and high-quality content. The ideal candidate is a creative, goal-oriented self-starter with exceptional production skills who can collaborate across departments and work directly with clients, nonprofit partners, and community leaders.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead production efforts for the Community Impact Team, creating high-quality content for broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms
  • Produce live and pre-produced community content, broadcast specials, PSAs, branded/partner content, and Community Impact franchises
  • Oversee PSA production, inventory, placement, and post-campaign reporting
  • Manage productions from concept and pre-production through shooting, editing, graphics, finishing, and delivery
  • Develop on-air, digital, print, and other collateral supporting community partnerships, events, and initiatives
  • Execute internal and external communications for Community Impact initiatives
  • Collaborate across departments and serve as a key liaison on Community Impact projects
  • Manage station programming responsibilities, including listing services, children’s programming crawls, and program changes
  • Lead station tours and represent WFAA at community events, boards, and committees as needed

Requirements :

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in broadcast television, video production, news, creative services, marketing, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-end, broadcast-quality content from concept through final delivery
  • Advanced shooting and photography skills, including professional camera operation, composition, lighting, exposure, movement, and visual storytelling
  • Advanced editing and post-production skills for short- and long-form content across broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite, including motion graphics and graphic design
  • Strong interviewing and storytelling skills with the ability to identify and capture compelling, authentic stories using reative judgment and ability to maintain high visual and technical standards while managing multiple productions and tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, and project management skills
  • Ability to work professionally with clients, nonprofit partners, community leaders, talent, and cross- department teams
  • Creative, innovative self-starter who can independently lead projects, solve production challenges, and make timely decisions
  • Passion for community storytelling and translating mission-driven work into engaging content
  • Highly organized, technologically savvy, and adaptable to evolving production tools and workflows
  • Ability to attend and produce content at community events, including some evenings and weekends
  • Knowledge of FCC sponsorship and disclosure requirements
  • Microsoft Office experience required; WideOrbit experience preferred

Travel: Rarely; less than 10% Work Environment: Primarily performed in a typical office environment with field production responsibilities. Physical Demands: Medium work involving sitting, standing, walking, lifting, bending, and other activities associated with field and studio production.
