Scrap Yard Worker in family business | 19/u

Are you technically minded, do you enjoy working with machines, and do you like to roll up your sleeves? For a leading player in the recycling sector, we are looking for a working team leader who shares responsibility for the daily organization of the scrap yard. You will join a stable, growing environment where initiative and responsibility are strongly encouraged.

In this role, you combine practice with coordination: you actively work on the yard, but also take the lead within the team. Thanks to thorough training in material knowledge and machine operation, you will develop yourself into a true specialist within recycling.

What does the job entail?

• Coordinating activities and, in the long term, taking leadership over a team of 4 colleagues
• Actively working together on the yard: serving customers, weighing, and sorting materials
• Performing crane work with a loose grab after thorough internal training
• Following up on maintenance of machines such as cranes, forklifts, and scrap shears
• Overseeing safety, order, and cleanliness on the yard
• In possession of a technical diploma or equivalent experience
• Leadership skills and a positive, solution-oriented attitude
• Accurate, customer-friendly, and organizationally minded
• Affinity with welding or oxy-fuel cutting is a plus
• Basic knowledge of French and English to communicate smoothly with colleagues
