Job Description

A flexible all-round technician / Fitter who is ready for a new step. As an International Service Technician, you will work together with a number of colleagues on installing piping onboard ocean-going vessels. This concerns conversion projects where the piping is replaced, which are carried out abroad for a duration of 1 to 1½ weeks. These projects can also be carried out in the Netherlands. The installations are performed onboard while the ship is in dry dock.

What will you do?

The Service Technician / Fitter is involved in mounting pre-fab piping or the installation of small-scale piping. Additionally, as a technician, you can install components and appendages; basic knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulics is desired. Based on isometric or installation drawings, the work is performed onboard the ship.

What do you bring?

In addition to professional knowledge, you possess the right skills to be able to install piping onboard a ship. You are someone who enjoys working in a team and possesses problem-solving abilities. You can read schematics & construction drawings. You have installation experience with components & appendages. Furthermore, we request:

• experience with the installation of piping / Welding experience is a plus;
• someone with a technical MBO education and at least 2 years of work experience;
• solution-orientedness and the ability to solve challenges on location;
• willing to travel regularly (internationally), averaging 15 weeks per year in periods of 1½ weeks;
• customer orientation;
• good command of the English language;
• a VCA basic diploma.
