Research Associate / Postdoc (m/f/d) Sparse Linear Optimization and Machine Learning (Mathematician)

At the Faculty of Informatik, Institute for Künstliche Intelligenz, at the Professur für Maschinelles Lernen für Computer Vision, a position is available as of 01.12.2026 as a

Research Associate / Postdoc (m/f/d) Sparse Linear Optimization and Machine Learning (E 13 TV-L if personal requirements are met)

for 25 months (duration of employment according to WissZeitVG), with the goal of further scientific qualification, to be filled.

Tasks:

• basic scientific research in Sparse Linear Optimization and Machine Learning
• publication of research results in leading journals and at leading conferences
• scientific teaching activities according to HSDAVO

Requirements:

• very good university degree and doctorate in Mathematik or Informatik
• publications in leading journals or at leading conferences in theoretical Informatik or Mathematik
• research focus in the field of Sparse Linear Optimization
• very good written and spoken English skills
