Diagnostic Technician

At our client, you will join an established player in commercial vehicles with various branches in West and East Flanders. Based in Aalter, you will work within an organization specialized in IVECO vans and trucks, while also offering other commercial vehicles. The service offering goes beyond sales: maintenance, repairs, and service are also part of the story.

The organization is also undergoing full renewal. Work is being done on a fresh corporate culture with room for different ideas and personalities. Therefore, you do not have to fit into a fixed profile. If you are technically strong, enjoy thinking, and are willing to evolve, there is room to find your own way.

Job Description

As a Diagnostic Technician, you will go one step further than classic mechanical maintenance. You will work on IVECO vans and trucks, but primarily dive into the technical puzzle when a vehicle exhibits a malfunction. Your day might look like this, for example:

• You perform maintenance and repairs on vans and trucks
• You work on diverse mechanical problems, from replacing a headlight to replacing a battery
• You diagnose technical malfunctions and search for the effective cause
• You read electrical diagrams and use diagnostic equipment to pinpoint problems specifically
• You analyze malfunctions and think beyond the first solution
• You participate in maintenance, breakdown assistance, and repairs according to the schedule
• You consult when a task should be scheduled or postponed

You do not have to be exclusively a classic mechanic. Do you already have experience with making diagnoses, but does that experience come from another sector? Then you can certainly apply your technical added value here.

• You have experience with making technical diagnoses
• You have a good mechanical foundation
• You can read electrical diagrams or are willing to learn this further
• You think logically and enjoy searching for the cause of a problem
• Preferably, you have experience with commercial vehicles, but this is not a must
• Experience with vans or trucks is a plus
• You speak sufficient English to be able to follow technical training and information

Candidates without a classic technical education may also be considered. Have you developed yourself technically through a hobby, practical experience, or a previous job? Then we primarily look at what you can actually do.
