In this role as Senior Payroll Administrator, you will support the Payroll Lead in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll administration for the countries on mainland Europe where the organization is active. You play a central role in the execution, control, and further optimization of the payroll processes.

Specifically:

  • You independently manage the end-to-end payroll processing for a number of assigned countries, from input to control and final payroll processing.
  • You ensure that all payroll operations comply with local payroll tax legislation, social security regulations, and labour law requirements.
  • You handle more complex payroll cases and seek structural solutions in consultation with the Payroll Lead and external payroll providers.
  • You work closely with HR and other stakeholders in various countries to monitor correct data and deadlines.
  • You follow up on the output of external payroll providers, check calculations, and identify discrepancies.
  • You actively contribute ideas for payroll improvement and contribute to refining processes, reporting, and controls.
  • You use HRIS and payroll software to manage data, support payroll reporting, and structure the administration.
  • When necessary, you can temporarily take ownership of international or multi-country payroll operations and act as the point of contact for internal and external parties.

For this role, you bring a strong substantive foundation and maturity in payroll.

Your profile:

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in an international or multi-country context.
  • You possess thorough knowledge of payroll operations, tax legislation, social security rules, and labour law requirements.
  • You can independently manage complete payroll processes and feel comfortable with complex payroll cases.
  • You have experience collaborating with external payroll providers and working with HRIS and payroll software.
  • You work analytically, accurately, and with great attention to detail, even under time pressure.
  • You can manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders in different countries simultaneously.
  • You are proactive, reliable, and think in a solution-oriented manner with the organization.
  • You communicate clearly and build smooth relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
  • You meet the criteria to obtain a legally required positive security clearance for critical functions in the port.
