TechElectric Automation is an industrial electrical and automation contractor serving customers throughout Southern Ontario.

We are looking for a *Purchaser* to take ownership of material sourcing, supplier pricing, purchasing and receiving for our projects and service work.

*Experience working with an electrical distributor, electrical contractor or industrial supplier would be especially valuable in this role.*

This is a hands-on position working closely with our General Manager, project managers and field technicians.

*Key Responsibilities*

• Source and purchase electrical, automation and industrial materials.
• Obtain and compare supplier pricing, availability and lead times, and negotiate the best overall value.
• Create, issue and track purchase orders and ensure purchases are assigned to the correct project or work order.
• Obtain material and equipment pricing to support project estimates.
• Expedite backorders and urgent material requirements.
• Coordinate deliveries and receive incoming materials.
• Handle returns, credits and incorrect shipments.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and identify alternate sources when required.

*Successful Candidates Will Bring*

• 2?3 years of purchasing, buying, electrical distribution, industrial supply or related experience preferred.
• Electrical or industrial product knowledge is a *strong asset*.
• Strong organization, follow-up and attention to detail.
• Confidence communicating and negotiating with suppliers.
• Ability to manage multiple orders and changing priorities.
• Good Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills.
• Valid Ontario driver's licence is required.

Formal purchasing or supply-chain education is not required. Practical industry experience and product knowledge will be strongly considered.
