*Overview*

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team, Taylor & Mergui Law Group. This role offers an exciting opportunity to independently manage Accident Benefits (AB) files with the assistance of your team. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to take ownership of a file, move it forward, and manage their workload with minimal supervision.

*What you will do:*

• Independently manage a caseload of Accident Benefits files
• Handle files from intake through the various stages of the claim
• Communicate directly with clients, insurers, adjusters, treatment providers and other parties
• Manage deadlines, documentation and ongoing file strategy
• Keep files organized, current and moving forward
• Work with your own support team of production assistants and law clerks
• Identify issues and take initiative rather than waiting for direction

*What we are looking for:*

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong experience managing files independently
• Accident Benefits (AB) experience is required
• Excellent organization and file-management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Someone who is confident, accountable and comfortable taking ownership of their work
