Persian Translator
Your tasks
ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a talented and culturally versatile Persian Translator to be based in Yerevan, Armenia. You will serve as a key language bridge between our Chinese/English-speaking teams and Persian-speaking partners, supporting our business operations across the region.
- Provide written translation and live interpretation across Persian and English, covering business, diplomatic, legal, and project management contexts;
- Attend and support external business negotiations, meetings, and official receptions, delivering consecutive or simultaneous interpretation as required;
- Manage the translation, proofreading, and archiving of multilingual documents;
- Assist in building and maintaining communication channels with Persian-speaking partners (Iran and other Persian-speaking regions);
- Collaborate with the local team on day-to-day administrative tasks and cross-cultural coordination.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Persian, Translation, Linguistics, or a related field;
- Native or near-native proficiency in Persian; fluent in English; good working proficiency in Russian (trilingual candidates strongly preferred);
- Minimum 2 years of translation or interpretation experience; candidates with international business or overseas posting experience will be given priority;
- Ability to work independently in an overseas environment with strong cross-cultural adaptability;
- Valid passport with no travel restrictions.
BONUS POINTS
- Prior working or living experience in Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, or other Central Asian countries;
- Familiarity with local Armenian culture and basic knowledge of Russian or Armenian;
- Proficiency in CAT tools such as SDL Trados or MemoQ.
