Job Summary

Join a prestigious interiors company as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor, managing cost control, tender preparation, contract administration, and stakeholder coordination to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quantity take-offs and cost comparisons for main work trades to support tender negotiations and cost analysis
  • Compute costing and monitor project site cost expenditure to maintain budget control
  • Prepare tender submissions including bills of quantities and collaborate with management on pricing strategies
  • Source and evaluate subcontractor quotations and administer contracts for various trades
  • Prepare monthly progress claims and conduct cost analysis based on architectural drawings and material requirements
  • Manage final submission processes, including responding to tender questionnaires and participating in interviews
  • Monitor progress claims and liaise with vendors to ensure timely payments
  • Attend site meetings to track project progress and resolve issues
  • Process variation orders (VO) and prepare final accounts accurately
  • Address contractual issues such as extensions of time, loss and expense claims, and terms and conditions
  • Liaise and build rapport with clients, contractors, and consultants to certify payment claims
  • Collaborate effectively within the project team to meet client requirements and project objectives

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or equivalent
  • Proficient in basic AutoCAD and capable of reading architectural drawings
  • Experienced in contract documentation, tender submission, and follow-up processes
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in interior design building construction
