Fully Qualified Lawyers / In-house Counsel (m/f/d) IT Law & Data Protection Law

In a dynamic and growing financial group, the Legal, Board Office & Data Protection department advises the group companies of the German financial group of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale with the main brands TARGOBANK AG and Oldenburgische Landesbank AG within the environment of a universal bank on all legal matters and also serves as an interface to the foreign companies of the group. Your Tasks

• Legal advice on all questions of IT and data protection law as well as AI regulation to committees, business units, and group companies, as well as legal support for the Group Data Protection Officers
• Particular focus on data protection and IT law issues in the course of implementing M&A processes, integration projects following acquisitions, foundations, transformation measures, and the further development of the governance structures of our financial holding group
• Review of relevant contracts
• Monitoring and assessment of case law, legislation, and regulatory developments in IT and data protection law
• Further development of the data protection concept along the strategic direction of the bank
• Participation in and legal support of strategic and structural projects with high complexity, product launches and modifications, as well as digital sales channels of the German TARGOBANK financial holding group and interface to relevant group units of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale
• Knowledge transfer to internal employees
• Contacts with associations and supervisory authorities
• Creation and further development of written regulations such as data protection policies, business instructions, and rules

Your Profile

• Professional experience in IT and data protection law or recognizable areas of specialization with practical experience, preferably acquired in a law firm or the legal department of a financial institution
• Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist:in) with at least one distinction in state examinations (Prädikatsexamen)
• Good understanding of IT systems and data architectures - ideally from financial services companies
• Strong communication and abstraction skills as well as strong conceptual skills
• Very good written and spoken English skills; French skills would be an advantage but are not a requirement
