COBOL Developer (f/m/d) (Computer Scientist)

Your Tasks

• Analyzing and expanding existing software systems and applications in a heterogeneous, complex IT system environment based on an IBM mainframe architecture with the systems DB2, IMS / CICS etc.
• Software development with COBOL, SQL, JCL for mainframe software

Your Profile

• Completed studies in practical / applied computer science or training as a Fachinformatiker (f/m/d)
• Experience in the mainframe environment with COBOL and in software conception as well as tuning options with practice in database modeling
• Practical experience with complex SQL queries as well as with database performance analyses and their optimization
• Confident handling of database management systems, preferably DB2 and the associated database languages and tools
• Knowledge of structures in TWS / OPC for the construction of automated batch processes
• Practical experience in IT project management, e.g., process risk analysis, requirements management, business client communication
• Analytical and strategic thinking as well as a solution-oriented approach
• Good English skills, German and/or French skills are an advantage
