Associate System Engineer “Associate Data Management Engineer
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of backup and data protection solutions.
- Configure and monitor backup jobs, backup policies, schedules, retention, storage policies, and backup copies.
- Support Commvault and Veeam environments and troubleshoot backup, restore, replication, and storage-related issues.
- Perform backup and restore operations and validate backup integrity and recovery readiness.
- Monitor backup infrastructure health, capacity, performance, and job status, and investigate failed or abnormal jobs.
- Assist with the configuration and management of backup storage, repositories, MediaAgents/backup proxies, and related components.
- Support disaster recovery, data recovery, and business continuity activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist in assessing system vulnerabilities and implementing approved remediation actions.
Technical Qualifications : A solid & strong knowledge and awareness with core infrastructure services (network basic, Directory services, storage , backup, ……………).
Good knowledge of networking fundamentals, and basic troubleshooting of communication problem of wire/wireless devices.
Good experience in administration and configuration of following products and technologies: Commvault
Veeam
Backup Exec
Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure
Microsoft System Center Family
VMware vSphere
servers and storage and basic networking
Certificates: ITI or NTI certificate is an excellent advance.
Relevant IT certificates will be a good plus.
University Degree

Skills:
