SENIOR SUPERVISOR

Job Summary

Lead and supervise electrical staff to ensure timely, safe, and code-compliant installation and maintenance of electrical systems. Manage schedules, troubleshoot system failures, and collaborate with project stakeholders to deliver high-quality electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement work schedules to optimize electrical staff productivity and project timelines
• Motivate and assist electrical staff to maintain high performance and morale
• Inspect and assess electrical work to ensure compliance with design schematics and quality standards
• Read and interpret design schematics to verify correct installation of electrical systems
• Troubleshoot major system failures and equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime
• Repair and maintain electrical equipment to ensure operational reliability
• Oversee purchasing and maintenance of electrical equipment to support site operations
• Ensure all electrical work is completed on schedule and complies with relevant codes
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment to uphold workplace safety standards
• Consult with builders, architects, and other on-site personnel to coordinate electrical work

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in electrical engineering or a related field
• Proven work experience as an electrical supervisor
• Strong leadership and managerial skills to effectively guide teams
• In-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders
• Familiarity with state electrical and safety codes to ensure compliance
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for complex electrical issues
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in electrical work
