Semiconductor Test Engineer

Your tasks

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Semiconductor Test Engineer to support semiconductor device testing, test program development, and product quality improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring semiconductor products meet performance, reliability, and quality requirements through effective testing, troubleshooting, and data analysis.

• Develop, maintain, and optimise semiconductor test programs for production and engineering evaluation.
• Perform functional, parametric, and electrical testing of semiconductor devices.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and related test systems.
• Analyse test results, identify failures, and conduct root cause investigations.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), product qualification, and production test development.
• Monitor test yield, investigate yield issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with product engineering, design, process engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare test reports, document test procedures, and maintain accurate engineering records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test coverage, productivity, product quality, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, quality procedures, and workplace safety requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in semiconductor testing, electronics testing, or test engineering is preferred.
• Familiarity with ATE platforms such as Advantest, Teradyne, or equivalent systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of semiconductor test methodologies, including functional testing, parametric testing, and failure analysis.
• Experience with test programming, data analysis, and troubleshooting is preferred.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
