Manufacturing Project Engineer (Contract) Jurong

Role: This position is accountable for aligning and controlling the evaluation, development and execution of SEA BU Business Development and Engineering projects annual and strategic goals, with a clear focus on the Jurong, Singapore Plant projects. The role will supervise and coordinate the implementation of all Jurong Plant projects within the Jurong Plant, and provide effective customer service coordination to the customer BU's, in line with the annual and strategic goals. The role will supervise key capital projects implemented within the Jurong Plant. This role will also ensure that MI/FSSC/ ISO guidelines /HSE procedures are observed in compliance to the IIM Pillar, BD&E procedures and work instructions which will allow the plant to pass any required plant-related audits.

Responsibilities: Role will manage the technical, planning, and coordination parts of the assigned project from start to finish, with key focus on the following: Project Planning and Scheduling: Creating timelines, scheduling daily tasks, and setting milestones to keep work on track. Reading and checking blueprints, design drawings, and technical specs to ensure work matches requirements. Running site inspections and enforcing health and safety rules to prevent accidents and fix errors. Acting as the main link between clients, contractors, managers, and workers to share updates and solve problems. Monitoring costs, tracking material quantities, and helping manage equipment and supplies Role will be the primary interface between the related Jurong Plant Operations, Finance, Logistics, and RDQ, for all matters pertaining to Innovation/NPD commercialization, technology improvements, capacity enhancement, productivity opportunities and compliance projects that are aligned with the overall business strategies. Acts as an enabler for I2M/IIM (Innovation 2 Market; Innovations and Initiative Management) progress across the sites, as required. Benchmark and leverage Best Practicies application and Best Cost Sourcing suppliers and knowledge of world class facilities and equipment, to deliver effective solutions meeting all client standards and expectations. Requirements: At least 3-5 years experience in a food manufacturing plant Knowledgeable of Best Practices in the industry. Plant operations functions, project management, Inter-company business. Demonstrated capability to discuss, coordinate and negotiate with key project partners and cross functional team members (customers, vendors, regulatory agencies, others) Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in end-to-end Manufacturing and Plant Management role within a complex FMCG environment Good change management skills to identify and streamline existing operational processes in line with internal and external manufacturing roadmaps Highly action oriented, drive for results, innovative, and strong entrepreneurial ability Demonstrated abilities in analytics, program management, problem solving and team building Fundamental knowledge of Marketing & Consumer affairs EA Reg.
