Senior IT Project Manager (Asset Management)

Our client, a leading asset management institution, is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead mid‑ to large‑scale technology initiatives across front, middle, and back‑office functions. The ideal candidate will have strong SDLC knowledge, deep understanding of multiple asset classes, and proven delivery experience within complex financial environments. You will partner closely with investment, operations, risk, and technology teams to deliver high‑impact projects that enhance system capabilities, strengthen operational efficiency, and support the firm’s growth agenda. Key Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end delivery of mid to large‑scale IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and technology roadmaps.

Manage full SDLC lifecycle including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and post‑implementation support.

Partner with investment teams to deliver technology solutions across FX, Equities, Bonds, Funds, and multi‑asset portfolios.

Oversee projects impacting middle and back‑office functions such as trade processing, settlements, reconciliations, performance reporting, and risk systems.

Drive project governance, reporting, budgeting, resource planning, and stakeholder communication.

Identify risks, manage dependencies, and ensure timely resolution of issues across cross‑functional teams.

Collaborate with vendors, system integrators, and internal technology teams to ensure high‑quality delivery and stable production outcomes.

Champion continuous improvement, process optimisation, and best practices in project execution.

Requirements Minimum 12 years of IT project management experience within asset management, investment management, Private Banking or financial services.

Strong understanding of SDLC, project governance, and structured delivery methodologies.

Solid knowledge of multiple asset classes (FX, Equities, Bonds, Funds) and how they flow through front‑to‑back processes.

Experience managing IT projects across middle and back‑office operations, including trade lifecycle, settlements, reconciliations, and reporting.

Proven track record delivering complex, multi‑stakeholder projects in fast‑paced environments.
