Role Overview

The Regional Payroll Specialist will deliver accurate, timely and compliant payroll services across assigned SEA markets during a six-month contract. The role partners with HR, Finance, external providers and regional stakeholders to manage payroll operations, controls, reconciliations and employee enquiries in a regulated financial-services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end monthly payroll for assigned SEA entities, including input validation, approvals, reconciliations and reporting. Ensure salaries, deductions, taxes, statutory contributions and final payments are accurate and delivered on schedule. Resolve payroll variances and employee queries in partnership with HR, Finance and external payroll providers. Maintain payroll calendars, procedures, controls and audit-ready documentation. Support statutory filings, audits, vendor management and regulatory requirements. Contribute to regional process standardisation, automation and payroll-improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent practical experience. At least five years of payroll experience, including multi-country or regional Asia Pacific payroll operations. Knowledge of payroll controls, statutory obligations, reconciliations and year-end processes. Experience working with outsourced payroll providers and cross-functional stakeholders. Strong Excel and payroll or HR systems skills, with excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Clear English communication, sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential information. Financial-services payroll experience, Singapore payroll exposure or a relevant professional certification is advantageous.
