Data Center Operator (Contract)

Responsibilities Perform daily data center operations, including batch processing, report printing, system backups, tape management, server reboots, and infrastructure checks to maintain operational efficiency Monitor data center system uptime and connectivity proactively to ensure continuous system availability and prevent downtime Log and submit problem management records and assign issues to the appropriate teams for timely resolution Enforce physical security procedures within the data centre to safeguard infrastructure and assets Escort personnel safely to and from the data centers at Kim Chuan and Bedok locations Required competencies and certifications Minimum Nitec/Highest Nitec/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent Good knowledge of Windows Server, UNIX, and AIX operating systems Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience in a Data Centre environment Demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work independently.
