Accounting Expertise Mission Manager (M/F)

TalenX is recruiting for one of its clients! A major national accounting, audit, and consulting firm. Supported by more than 1,000 employees and 70 partners, the group supports executives in their financial, HR, legal, and strategic management through a network of about thirty offices in France. The position:

We are looking for an Accounting Expertise Mission Manager who is expected to evolve into a Consulting Director position, acting as the partner's right hand, for our Lyon-based firm.

Your role You will take charge of the accounting supervision of a varied portfolio and intervene in outsourced management at client sites. Beyond production, your role is resolutely oriented towards development: you will structure and develop the portfolio, and prepare the handover from the partner on consulting missions.

Your missions Supervision and management of files

• Ensure the bookkeeping and accounting supervision of a portfolio of associations, SMEs, and subsidiaries of foreign groups.
• Lead delegated and outsourced management missions directly at client sites during certain periods.
• Guarantee the quality, reliability, and respect of deadlines for the files.

Business development and consulting

• Ensure commercial prospecting and long-term portfolio development.
• Act as the partner's right hand to develop the team and consulting activity.
• Progressively move up to consulting missions, the core of the firm's evolution.
• Train in foreign tax and accounting standards (notably US GAAP).

Evolution prospects

• Structured track towards a Consulting Expertise Director position.
• Increasing responsibilities and a role as a point of reference for clients and the team.

Profile sought:

• Higher education in accounting (DSCG, licence CCA or equivalent). Training from a Lyon school is appreciated.
• Experience in an accounting firm, ideally with rapid internal evolution.
• Demonstrated ability to commercially develop a portfolio over the long term.
• Consulting-oriented vision and an appetite for high value-added missions.
• Proactive, dynamic profile, appreciated by both clients and teams.
• Curiosity and a desire to learn foreign tax standards.

Technical skills

• Essential: spoken and written English, expert-level Excel, mastery of the Pennylane tool.
• Appreciated: US GAAP standards and the Loop tool (not blocking, internal training possible).
