Senior Credit Officer
Job Overview Oversee credit approval, review, and portfolio monitoring activities, ensuring sound credit risk management and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:
- Credit Assessment & Approval
Oversee credit approval and review processes for loans.
Evaluate financial statements, credit reports, financial models, and credit risks.
Provide balanced risk perspectives to business teams.
- Portfolio & Risk Management
Monitor the performance and quality of the credit portfolio.
Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and applicable requirements.
Support credit risk initiatives and special projects as required.
- Team Support
Mentor and guide junior credit approvers and analysts.
Work closely with business teams and Head Office on credit matters.
Job Requirements Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in credit risk, corporate/institutional/commercial lending, or portfolio management.
Strong knowledge of credit principles, financial analysis, risk management, and banking practices.
Good understanding of regulatory requirements and credit rating methodologies.
Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
