Mechanical Design Engineer (R&D)

Responsibilities Lead the design and development of new products from concept to production. Create 3D models, engineering drawings, and product renderings using Creo or SolidWorks. Develop innovative, practical, and manufacturable design solutions based on customer requirements. Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM, and DFA principles to ensure quality and manufacturability. Support prototyping, testing, validation, pilot runs, and new product introduction (NPI). Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Project Management, suppliers, and production teams. Resolve technical issues, drive design improvements, and support continuous product enhancement. Maintain engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, ECOs, and technical reports. Ensure compliance with engineering standards, project timelines, and GMP requirements. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or R&D engineering. Proficient in Creo or SolidWorks for3D modelling and engineering drawings. Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes such as plastic injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and assembly. Good industrial design sketching and product rendering skills. Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
