IT Infrastructure Engineer

Job Responsibilities Lead IT infrastructure and workplace transformation initiatives, including Microsoft 365, Copilot, endpoint management and identity access solutions.

Manage daily IT operations, service desk support, system maintenance and IT asset lifecycle.

Design, implement and maintain enterprise networks, servers, virtualisation and cybersecurity solutions.

Ensure IT infrastructure and services comply with security policies and industry standards.

Manage IT vendors, contracts, budgets, software licensing and service level agreements (SLAs).

Lead infrastructure projects from planning and procurement through implementation.

Troubleshoot complex IT issues, conduct root cause analysis and drive service improvements.

Work closely with management, end users and technical teams to ensure effective IT service delivery.

Job Requirements Advanced Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

3–6 years of experience in IT Service Management or IT infrastructure.

Hands-on experience in Windows infrastructure, server room management and end-user computing.

Proficient in Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM, WSUS and Entra ID.

Experience in server operations, virtualisation, LAN/WAN, firewalls and network security.

Strong troubleshooting, project management and stakeholder management skills.

Able to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical support.

Good to Have ITIL, CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft or PMP certifications.

Experience in the public sector and familiarity with Whole-of-Government policies or IM8 requirements.
